About Our Founder

Jasmond Nelson is the visionary founder and Executive Director of Inspire Together, leading with heart, lived experience, and an unwavering commitment to youth. With more than a decade of experience in advocacy, nonprofit leadership, and community empowerment, Jasmond has dedicated her life to creating pathways of stability and opportunity for young people facing re-entry, homelessness, and systemic barriers.

As a former foster youth who navigated both foster care and homelessness, Jasmond brings a deeply personal understanding of the challenges young people face. Her leadership is grounded in the belief that every youth deserves access to essential needs, trauma-informed support, and a housing-first approach that prioritizes safety and dignity.

Under her guidance, Inspire Together has launched innovative programs that include housing navigation, drop-in centers, workforce readiness and pre-apprenticeship training, rental assistance, re-entry youth services, and comprehensive wraparound care. Jasmond has also developed curricula and youth-centered models that ensure services are not only effective, but authentic, culturally responsive, and rooted in humanity. Her work continues to champion policies and programs that drive systemic change, always keeping compassion, dignity, and community at the center. Jasmond’s leadership reflects her core belief: when you meet youth where they are, you help them discover where they can go.

  • Neha Deshmukh

    Human Resources Manager

    Neha Deshmukh is the Human Resources Specialist at Inspire Together, where she leads and manages all aspects of the HR department. From recruitment and onboarding to payroll, policy creation, benefits, and performance evaluations, she ensures HR operations run smoothly and align with the organization’s goals. Neha also plays a strategic role in shaping workplace culture, addressing compliance and conflict matters, and supporting long-term organizational growth. As a core member of the leadership team, she is committed to fostering a positive, mission-driven work environment for all staff.

  • Htay Thaw

    Non-Profit Accountant

    As a Non-Profit Accountant at a federally funded, community-focused organization, I play a pivotal role in ensuring financial transparency, regulatory compliance, and responsible stewardship of public funds. I was inspired to join Inspire Together by its mission to uplift underserved communities through meaningful support and outreach. Through accurate financial reporting and strategic budget management, I help maximize the impact of every dollar invested in our programs.

  • Pooja Bhattacharya

    Grant Writer Supervisor

    Pooja Bhattacharya is the Grant Writer Supervisor at Inspire Together, where she leads grant strategy, develops policies, and creates intake forms. She also facilitates life skills workshops for youth. Pooja holds a Master of Public Health from Cal State LA and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from India. She brings expertise in grant writing, project management, and public health.
