Drop-In Center
The Drop-In Center, is a Youth Center located in South Los Angeles and Claremont that has served underserved, unhoused, and at-risk youth and young adults ages 18–24 since opening in August 2023.
The center offers immediate relief through basic needs like meals, water, clothing, and hygiene kits, alongside life skills workshops. Youth receive personalized case management, connecting them to housing, employment training, mentoring, and healthcare partners.
What We Offer
Safe drop-in space: A non-judgmental, harm-reduction-centered environment where young people can access support and build community.
Basic-needs assistance: Meals, water, clothing, hygiene kits, and other immediate necessities.
Life-skills workshops: Education and skill-building in budgeting, anger management, trauma-informed yoga, substance-use prevention, and dating-violence prevention.
Personalized case management: Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) that identify each participant’s needs, goals, and next steps.
Housing navigation and referrals: Connections to housing resources and partners.
Employment and workforce support: Referrals to employment training and career-development opportunities.
Mentoring services: Connections to mentors and supportive adults.
Healthcare navigation: Referrals and connections to healthcare partners.
Peer-led prevention education: Youth leaders facilitate prevention workshops for other young people in their community.
